For Your Listening Pleasure

Unless otherwise stated on the air, The Night Train's famous crew always plays the original versions of the vintage songs you hear on The Night Train Show. In other words, you will not hear one of those dreadful, re-recorded versions in place of an original version, as you might hear on a radio show where the Dj does not recognize, or even care about, the difference!  Furthermore, The Night Train's famous crew makes a big deal out of playing the most recently released, remastered versions of these original vintage songs. In fact, some of the songs you will hear have been remastered in stereo, for the first time, from the original master audio tapes! To The Night Train Show's production crew, this is a really big deal because, unlike with today's FM radio stations, these vintage songs were originally heard on AM radio stations, where the audio quality was not even close to being high-fidelity, not to mention not being broadcast in stereo.

With this in mind, to hear the fullest fidelity from these remastered platters-that-used-to-matter, Nipper the RCA hi-fi dog (see its picture above), suggests that you tune your home stereo system to WMPG (90.9 FM) as you listen to The Night Train Show and/or use your headphones to capture the full, remasterd stereo effect.  Furthermore, it goes without saying that you should crank up the volume! You won't believe how incredible the vast majority of these 40 to 60 year-old songs can actually sound!  If you're listening on-line through your computer, plug your computer's audio-out jack (the headphone jack) into your home receiver using a stereo wire, which you purchase at Radio Shack for a few dollars.  The necessary wire needs to have RCA jacks on one end (these plug into your home receiver) and a mini-plug on the other end (this plugs into your computer).  You can also plug your home computer into its own good-sounding speaker system.  Your Rock & Roll Rebel uses a 3-piece audio set-up (two small satellite speakers and a bass unit) when he tunes in WMPG.

But, you say, I can't tune in The Night Train Show using my home stereo because it's not convenient when the show is being broadcast!  As alawys, The Night Train Show has you covered.  Go to this web site's TNT AUDIO page and download a show.
